Keywords:
clean water, water supply system, mineral sufidaAbstract
The need for clean water is very important for life, but the people of Saliki Village, Kutai Kartanegara, face difficulties due to geographical factors and the impact of the mining industry. Mining activities cause the soil to contain sulfide minerals, which contaminate the water with harmful metals. In addition, uneven water distribution and the absence of a regional water utility (PDAM) exacerbate the community's access to clean water. To address this issue, BUMDES Mekar Sejati and the CSR team of PT initiated the Water Supply System (WSS) Programme. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with an action research approach. The WSS programme has proven effective in providing clean water, improving public health by reducing skin diseases, and creating new business opportunities through economical and affordable drinking water depots.
