Abstract

This study aims to examine organizational analysis based on the resource-based view (RBV), value chain analysis, business models, and functional capabilities in creating sustainable competitive advantage. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review of strategic management theories and empirical studies. The findings indicate that competitive advantage is not solely determined by external environmental conditions, but largely depends on internal organizational resources, capabilities, and core competencies. The VRIO framework (Barney, 1991) plays a key role in evaluating whether a firm’s resources can generate sustained competitive advantage through value, rarity, imitability, and organizational support. In addition, the integration of business models, value chain activities, human resource management, information systems, and supply chain management significantly influences firm performance. The study also highlights that companies with strong organizational culture, adaptive structures, and technological capabilities are more likely to sustain long-term competitiveness. Overall, the findings emphasize that internal resource integration and strategic alignment across functional areas are critical determinants of superior organizational performance.
