Abstract

This study aims to analyse national education and its suitability with the characteristics of the region, education units, and students, especially in the context of the Kampus Merdeka (Free Campus) policy. The method used is a literature study by collecting various relevant data and information related to the research topic. The results showed that the Kampus Merdeka policy emphasises academic flexibility, providing opportunities for students to master various disciplines. In its application, the scientific approach to Civic Education is important to reduce the gap between the concept and reality of education. In addition, the learning objectives of Civic Education in the modern era emphasise strengthening digital literacy, creativity, innovation, and critical thinking among learners. In conclusion, the Pancasila and Citizenship Education curriculum in Indonesia continues to develop dynamically, influenced by the needs and vision-mission of the government. However, in its implementation, there are main foundations that remain the same, namely the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, politics, law, morality, local wisdom, and diversity in the life of the nation and state
